This mug is completely food safe. The flaws are as depicted in the photos. The most obvious is that part of the handle 'shivered'. What that means is that, during the second firing, part of the glaze separated and left the bisque exposed. It does not affect the function of the mug. The other thing is obviously that this mug took on the color whatever it was fired next to. It happens, and I kinda like it, but I get that it's not for everyone. Anyways, a steal of a mug if those things don't bother you. 
 
This generous sized mug features bright and cheery sgraffito coneflowers. The inside is solid green and the bottom features my signature polka dot sgraffito. 
 
This mug is thrown and trimmed on the wheel. I then add a handmade pulled handle, before coating the mug in underglaze and hand carving the flower design. It then gets bisque fired, and then glaze fired.
