This vibrant green, hand carved oil dispenser is made to add some functional beauty to your space. In consideration of the oil it is meant to house, the sides are dimpled to make the item effortless to hold and use. The sgraffito flower carvings are found on many of my items, from mugs to bowls. Each adds a touch of whimsy to your space, while remaining functional kitchen items. 
 
This dispenser is carefully thrown and trimmed on the wheel, paying close attention to the size of the opening that will house the metal spout. When the item is at just the right phase of dryness, I add several coats of underglaze, wait again, and then hand carve the flowers onto the vessel. It then gets bisque fired, and then glazed fired again.
