This Miami (South) Beach lifeguard station scene was painted for a Palm Beach area art show that I've had the privilege of showing at for several years. South beach is such a scene, in the best way, and I LOVE how each of the lifeguard towers is colorful and quirky and a 'thing' all on it's own. It's hard to not want to paint them all, but I also try to stay away from buildings because they end up feeling fussy to me, and I'm always looking for more freedom in my art and in my life. I couldn't be happier with how this one turned out.
