This print is based on an original acrylic painting. Sometimes, you just really don't know... This painting was created for a Palm Beach area art show that I've had the privilege of having my work at for several years. Both the palette and the subject were considered. It didn't sell. I also made prints, since sometimes people want art at a lower price point. I get it. They didn't sell. Then I did an art show in Portland, Oregon and sold every crab print I had. Two years later, I submitted the original once again, and it sold. Despite our best efforts to 'give the people what you think they might want', sometimes you just really don't know. And it's a good reminder to me to paint what is resonant for me, because chances are that will come through in the painting, and also because then whether it sells or not is irrelevant!
